House tour...part 1

So, since most of you have never been to our new house, I thought I would start giving you a pictorial tour of things...this does not give you an excuse to never come visit!!! You are welcome anytime!! When we moved in to our house the girls shared a room (and the extra bedroom served as our guestroom/playroom), but that lasted about 6 months and then MG was ready to move into her own room. So I gutted the playroom and turned it into MG's room...she requested yellow walls with stripes on one wall, so yellow and stripes I painted! This was one of my projects while the Man was away for 2 weeks...
Once JF saw the stripes on MG's walls, her pink walls were no longer enough. She wanted stripes, too!! I had done enough painting in JF's room before we moved in, so I added adhesive stripes to her wall which look just as good as paint! And saved me so much time!!

And this is my frog room...finally! I love frogs and always hoped I would be able to do a frog room for one of my kiddos (we used to have a frog bathroom but the Man vetoed it). So once we found out we were having a boy, I was so excited!

the start to my day...

So, this is how my day started today...I was cleaning up dishes and the kitchen from last night because I was too lazy to do it then (actually, we went for a family bike ride and then swimming, so I guess I had better things to do than dishes!!)...and I hear a strange noise behind me. Guess who had gotten a box of pasta and dumped it all over the floor!!? Not only did he dump it out and think is was really funny, but he proceeded to throw the pasta at me when I tried to get him to help me pick it up! I have only one child proof device on the doors in our house, and yes, it is on the pantry door for good reason!! :) Getting ready to throw one at me...you see how excited he is?!?Helping me clean it up! Good boy! He tries to look so innocent!

Millipede

In addition to our two dogs, MG always seems to find new pets to add to the family. Here is our latest addition, a millipede...which remains nameless. I saw it crawling up the wall in our backyard the other day and of course MG wanted to keep it. We'll see how long it survives the torment of 3 kids!

Blogging

So, I have decided to try my hand at this blogging thing...especially for those of you who refuse to join us on Myspace...you know who you are! lol Hopefully this will keep you up to date on the happenings of the Futrell family!
