I somehow managed to convince "Steve" to travel to Texas to spend Thanksgiving with my oldest brother and his family this year...and we have returned home safely with all 3 children still alive! LOL Going and coming we left at 4AM so that we would have sleepy kids and avoid driving until late at night. I am happy to report that, both going and coming, the car ride was a piece of cake! :) "Steve" drove the entire thing except about 3 hours at the end coming home (because he wanted to sit in the back and watch Wall-E!!), so I took the wheel. Grandma came along, of course, and although she was willing to drive the entire thing she never got behind the wheel. She did an awesome job of entertaining the kiddos, though!!
We had a great time with my bro and his family. It was fun to watch the kids play together. My brother and his wife cooked an awesome Thanksgiving feast (which gave us the opportunity to eat our first fried turkey...yum!) and the girls (mom, SIL, and I) were out the door at 4:45AM to hit up Black Friday sales! :) Our trip to TX would not have been complete without a visit to The Salt Lick...yummy!!!! (If you ever go to Austin, check this place out....AWESOME!!)
